Over the last 12 months, I have been running, not from anything, but towards a marathon :)

My two sons run, my youngest was on his 2nd and 2026 would make it his 3rd.  My oldest son was running his first marathon, and it made me think.  I am 54, getting older, if there was a time to do something exceptional and challenging with them both, then a Marathon seemed like an option.  The picture above is all I wanted, to show we did it together.

For 12 months, I ran 3 times a week, and I also walked a lot to improve my fitness.  According to Strava, in the last 12 months I have run 1,212km and walked 2,059km, all to run 42.2km!

But I did it despite the Marathon falling on the first heatwave to hit Scotland this year, worst possible outcome :)

Done though, so getting back to the site this week!
