Introducing PropertyResearch.uk
PropertyResearch.uk: Search any England & Wales postcode to view 30 years of sold property data, local trends, and repossession insights. Fast, clean reports to support research and lending decisions.
This didn’t start with a business plan, a whiteboard, or an 87-slide deck. It started in the office mid-chat when someone said:
“Wouldn’t it be great if there was a site where you could punch in a postcode and instantly see sales history, market trends, arrears, repossessions… and just make our jobs easier with real data?”
My response: “Hold my beer.”
Then reality kicked in: the office tools are not exactly built to juggle 80-million-plus records. Well, not the ones they let me have. So I did what any sensible person would do, turned it into a personal side project and built it anyway.
A week (okay, ten days) later, PropertyResearch.uk is live.
What it covers (for now)
England & Wales.
Scottish data? Let’s just say it’s guarded like the Crown Jewels. Unless you fancy £900/month for a slow drip from Holyrood, you’ll need to give me a minute while I find a solution for Scotland. I’m on it.
What it does
- Type a postcode → see up to 30 years of sales history.
- Click a property → get specific details and useful context.
- Curious about repossessions? → dedicated page using court data.
- Local trends & signals → the kind that actually help decisions, not just pretty charts. Ok, it has pretty charts.
It’s simple, fast, and, dare I say, quite nice to use.
If you work in property, lending, or you’re just nosey about an area (no judgement), this should save you time and guesswork.

I am the owner of this site. If there is anything wrong, it's on me! If you want to get in touch, please email me at [email protected]. The site has grown so quickly, I honestly didnt expect the interest or the support, so thank you to everyone who has dropped me a line. More is coming, and I am spending time making it simpler, easier to understand, and also updating it regularly.
