Mortgage Approval data used on this site is provided by the Bank of England. It is not available in a single source and has to be built from codes.
The data I have on this site related to mortgage approvals is simply a tracker to understand how approvals are moving month by month and year by year. It's a simple dataset available from the Bank of England.
There is no single source for this data; you have to build it. Use this link.

In the search box (includes) you can enter several codes, comma-separated.
The codes you would need to replicate this data are:
- House Purchase - LPMVTVX
- Remortgaging - LPMB4B3
- Other Secured - LPMB4B4
- Totals of these - LPMB3C8
Once you create the search using these codes, it will generate a csv file you can then use. The data is available monthly.
The good news is that the file size for all years is under 20kb.
The data is provided under the Open Government License V3.0.
Note:
Technically, you do not need the totals column and could just add them up yourself. I am looking for any discrepancies, which is why I bring it in.
