As many of you know, I am building an iOS app for iPhone that will allow users to search property sales, EPC certificates and more.

It will be a quick and convenient way to use PropertyResearch.uk without needing to visit the website. The app does not simply display pages from this site, it is being designed as a fully native iPhone experience.

To meet Apple’s requirements and make the app’s data sources, terms and privacy practices clear, I have added a new Legal & Support Hub.

It includes:

• The App Privacy Policy
• Data Sources and Licensing
• Terms and Disclaimers
• App Support

This does not change anything for visitors to the website today.

The app does not require an account and does not contain advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. Searches are sent securely to the PropertyResearch.uk API so that results can be returned, and the service may process ordinary technical information needed for security, reliability and troubleshooting. This information is not sold or used for advertising; I have no idea how I would even do that!

The new legal pages explain this clearly, identify the official sources behind the app’s data and outline the limitations that apply when using property records, estimates and other research information.

I should probably have had much of this information in one place already. It is now available both for transparency and to help ensure that Apple can approve the app for release on the App Store.
